Cathy, Jamilya & Caleb
My children have been attending the Academy of Music for five years. Caleb plays piano and Jamilya does voice. They have always had superb teachers who are enthusiastic about teaching music. My son plays the piano so beautifully and I credit it to the solid guidance that he gets from his teacher. Jamilya is always eager to attend her lessons and for a fourteen year old, this is remarkable! I must add as well that James and Jen have always been very accommodating, for whatever issues may arise and always respond to my inquiries in a timely fashion. We love, love, love the Academy of Music and look forward to a new year in September!
My kids had Ryan as a leader for their Rock Band session. He is friendly and helpful with an easy going manner. He was able to communicate interesting parts for all the band members. The kids had a great time in his lessons!
The Academy has been very accommodating, they scheduled a time that is great for us. Also, the girls say that their lessons are fun and they love coming back every week.
My two kids, Michael and Angel both excel in their music class. We found that the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the Academy of Music is what really make their learning fun and gives them the desire to succeed.
My Son Kyle takes electric guitar lessons at the Academy of Music. We have been very impressed with the quality of the instructors and their positive attitude towards their students. We were so happy last year that we signed kyle up for electric guitar and bass guitar lessons for this year.
My son looks forward to attending his lessons at the Academy of Music every week. He loves his music teacher and the music points are such a great incentive for him! He has learned so much in the past year, and at the tender age of 6 can really ROCK OUT on his drums! We look forward to seeing him perform in the concert in June!
Upon retiring 6 months ago, I started taking violin lessons at the Academy of Music with James as my teacher. I recieved my violin as a gift almost 60 years ago so you could say this has been a long journey and not an easy task for James to take on. I look forward to my weekly lessons as James makes them fun and challenging. He has made me believe that I acually can play the violin after all these years – and have fun too!
Our daughter Hannah has been taking lessons at the Academy of Music for 6 months now. She has taken both guitar and vocal lessons. We have found the instructors to be very knowledgeable and flexible. James and Jenn have both been wonderful.
Mr and Mrs. Fabian
Chayra really enjoys performing at the concerts and festivals. She is much more comfortable playing for other people and is thrilled when she wins a medal. She also works very hard to get her music points each week.
After taking group piano lessons at a different music school for two years, we
decided to try the one-on-one approach prescribed by the Georgetown School of Music for our seven year old daughter, Amanda. We immediately heard a difference in Amanda’s playing – she had a better understanding of notes and played more fluently. Her teacher is great at instilling confidence in her abilities and very pleasant to work with. While approaching the lessons in a fun way, Ella is also goal-oriented keen on helping Amanda to achieve RCM certification.
Why the Academy of Music? The Academy has always been flexible and accommodating. Helping me to fit in my two kids’ four weekly music lessons into their already busy after school sports schedules. The staff and teachers at the Academy are always so polite and approachable. You know you’ve found the right school when your kids look forward to their music lessons and always leave with a great feeling of accomplishment.
The Academy of Music is very flexible, they helped me schedule all three of my lessons back to back. I love my teachers and I can tell that they really care about me too.
